I just wanted to share a few pictures from the afternoon we went bouldering last week.  We explored a canyon behind a friend’s place a few miles up the road from us.  We’ve been wanting to get out there to scope out the rocks and we found a couple great spots.  It was a lot of fun, and so beautiful.  We’re definitely packing a weapon of some sort next time, though, since we found some cougar evidence… (perhaps it’s the same one that frequents our woods?? I just can’t seem to escape them!)  It was a gorgeous afternoon, too — so quiet and crisp.   We thought the rocks we found looked like something from Tolkien’s middle earth…  I half-expected to see a hobbit peering out from behind the moss!  And, the leaves are starting to turn to autumn colors… (stay tuned for a mushy “I-love-fall” post sometime in the near future!)
